Catalunya CaixaOnline is a service that allows you to access your bank accounts using a PC (personal computer) connected to Internet.

Banking on the Internet is like having a bank branch on your desktop. You can access your bank any time, from any place.

Who is eligible for RetailCatalunya CaixaOnline?

All individual Catalunya Caixa customers (account holders) are eligible for getting Catalunya CaixaOnline access for their Catalunya Caixa accounts. you can register yourself for Catalunya CaixaOnline by providing the details required on the registration page.

How do I access Catalunya CaixaOnline?

Contact our customer service center to request for Catalunya CaixaOnline. A mail will be forwarded to the email address that you registered with Catalunya Caixa with your Customer ID and the link to Catalunya CaixaOnline registration page.

To access Catalunya CaixaOnline you need to have a PC (personal computer) with Internet Explorer 8 and above or any other browser (Netscape, Google Chrome, etc ), which should be connected to the Internet. Minimum requirements:

• Hardware: You need a PC with 256 MB RAM, 2 GB Hard Disk Space and 500 MB free space.
• Software: You need a browser, preferably Internet Explorer Version 8.0 or higher.

What is my User ID & Password for Catalunya CaixaOnline?

Catalunya CaixaOnline is a self service internet banking platform. Therefore, you will have to create your User ID & Password without any intervention from Catalunya Caixa.

What is Authorization Password?

Catalunya CaixaOnline has two level passwords for enhanced security of your accounts. Authorization password is the second level password that you need to enter to do certain transactions. You need to acquire a Token from Catalunya Caixa in order to generate the authorization password.

How do I access French / English version of Catalunya CaixaOnline?

After logging in to Catalunya CaixaOnline, you can select the language option.

When can I use Catalunya CaixaOnline services?

With Catalunya CaixaOnline, you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be informed online in case our system is down due to certain maintenance reasons.

• Download Account activity in CSV (for MS Excel) or PDF format, or get it emailed to your email id.
• Transfer funds between your accounts with Catalunya Caixa or to third party accounts. You select a one-time transfer option or register the beneficiary by filling a beneficiary registration form for recurrent transfer and set up a standing instruction.
• Request for cheque book, physical statement and demand draft.
• Remit money to third parties within Internetional for collection from Catalunya Caixa Bank branches or ATMs.
• Remit money to third parties outside Internetional for collection from any of our subsidiaries (

When will my transactions affect my account?

Most of the transactions will be executed instantly; some others will take some processing time. The time required to execute a particular transaction will be informed to you when you complete the transaction. In case your transaction is not executed on time, please contact us and provide the transaction details along with the ‘transaction reference number’.

Is there any charge for using Catalunya CaixaOnline?

No. Currently, we offer Access Catalunya CaixaOnline free to all our customers. However, there may be charges for certain features like external funds transfer, standing instruction set up, etc. You will be informed about the relevant charges before the transaction is completed.

What happens if I forget my password?

• Enter your user id on login page and click submit button
• On the next page, click "Forgot Password"
• On the next page, supply the relevant information that your provided when you subscribed to Catalunya CaixaOnline
• Create new Password

How secure is Catalunya CaixaOnline?

Security of your accounts is our top priority. Catalunya Caixa uses the latest technology with robust security methods, including 128-bits SSL encryption, firewalls, timed log-out and access blocking in case of repeated incorrect password entry, to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal and financial information.

• Catalunya Caixa takes utmost precaution to prevent unauthorized access to the Bank's servers with measures like firewalls and access controls.
• All your transactions travel via 128-bit SSL encrypted medium (the industry standard for encrypted communication).
• Your password is created by you and can be changed as you want.
• You are required to select an image during the user id creation process. This image will always appear during login if you are actually on valid Catalunya CaixaOnline platform. If the image does not appear or is different, then you are not on Catalunya CaixaOnline
• To prevent somebody from guessing your password and getting unauthorised access to your account your User ID is locked in case of three consecutive wrong password entries.
• To prevent an unauthorised person from viewing your Catalunya CaixaOnline account in case you leave your computer idle, we close your Internet session in case of inactivity for an extended period of time.
